Underground Art Market
After three incredibly successful iterations of the Underground Art Market at the Labour Temple, Berkano Gallery is excited to host the Holiday Underground Art Market next month, where we will be featuring artists of all mediums once more on December 9, 6 - 9 PM. While the top three floors of the historic building have work represented by Berkano Gallery, the newly renovated courtyard will feature dozens of artists with "booths" where they are encouraged to display and sell their work, offer demonstrations, etc. The Holiday Underground Art Market will be tailored and marketed as a great space for patrons to buy artwork as well as gifts for the holidays.
We will be accepting submissions through 11:59 PM on Tuesday, November 29.
Here's what you need to know before applying:

Once selected, artists/vendors will pay $35 as a "booth rental fee" that aids in covering the cost of beverages, entertainment, etc.*

Each artist/vendor will be responsible for managing their own booths, including their own transactions. There is no wall space for hanging work. Artists should anticipate display on tables and easels only, or they are welcome to bring their own wire/alternative hanging setups if they wish. Artists are welcome to bring their own tables. Tables will be available to rent for an additional $10. Tables and booths range from 6 - 8 feet in width.

Artists will be responsible for setup and takedown of their booths on the day of the event, which takes place November 11 from 6 - 9 PM as part of the Belltown Artwalk. Artists will be welcome to begin setup as early as 4 PM on that day. Other arrangements can be made if necessary.

All mediums are encouraged to apply! We are looking to create a diverse and exciting environment that shows an array of artist/vendor offerings.

We will let all artists/vendors know of the status of their submission by end-of-day November 30.

Once selected, artists/vendors will have until December 3 to confirm their participation so as to make room for any waitlisted applicants.
